The commercial collection law firm was begun by Herbert Heitner & Norman Breitstein.  Herb, who practiced law in New York & New Jersey, began his legal career in 1967 and continued until his passing until in 1996. Norm, who is admitted to practice in New York & New Jersey, began his legal career in 1973 and has been specializing in the recovery of commercial receivables ever since.  Cary Richard Sternback, also licensed in both New York and New Jersey, joined the firm in 1994 and has been following the firm's legacy as a tough, but fair practicioner . The law firm of Heitner & Breitstein was established in 1983 and the firm name was continued by Norman Breitstein & Cary Sternback.  In 2004, Jeffrey S. Zachter joined the firm and we are proud of his accomplishments as a litigator and negotiator.
